The new media ‘Clubhouse’ has become a hot app in such a short time. According to the report of App Annie, Clubhouse has doubled its download numbers in 2 weeks. It has earned the curiosity of many people for its unique audio discussion format over the traditional social media’s use of written words in communication between their users. And the global downloads of Clubhouse App grow from 3.5 million to 8.1 million between 1 and 16 February.

The invite-only app has surged in popularity amid appearances by some high-profile celebrities such as Tesla’s Elon Musk and facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg.

Though the restrictions of Clubhouse’s model only available for iPhones and each user is only able to invite a few others., the conditions have uplifted the interest of the public to seek for the participation on the contrary. Based on the report from App Annie, about 2.6 million of the recent downloads were in the United States. It looked like there was also a wave swiping around the world.

It is understood that download numbers may not be the number of actual users. Clubhouse is encouraging users to download the app anyway. As said, doing so allows new users to reserve their username for the future. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store without actually having the invited need to use it.
